Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of\u00a0sickness . . .\u00a0These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: . . .\u00a0“And as you go, preach, saying, \u2018The kingdom of heaven is at hand.\u2019”\u00a0 \u00a0(Matthew 10:1, 5, 7, NASB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Apostle Matthew’s account, Jesus sent the twelve out, and He “gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.”  Further, He gave them instructions to tell all the people that “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last thing He told them is important.\u00a0 In heaven, there will be no sickness, no disease.\u00a0 It will be a place of pure joy.\u00a0 No more death, no pain, or sorrow.\u00a0 It will be . . . HEAVEN!\u00a0 We all implore God, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”\u00a0 When Jesus announces that His kingdom is “at hand,” it sounds as if it’s imminent.\u00a0 When measured by eternity, it is!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For regular viewers of The 700 Club, we’re used to Gordon Robertson making this consistent argument, that God wants to heal us, because that’s how it will be in heaven.  But he often says that he doesn’t know why we ALL don’t obtain healing.  I’ve heard that while we don’t all get healed while here on this earth, the followers of Jesus will see healing when they get to heaven.  That’s MY hope! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
