Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham.\u00a0I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your\u00a0descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;\u00a0because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws&#8221; . . .\u00a0Then he went up from there to Beersheba.\u00a0The LORD\u00a0appeared to him the same night and said,\u00a0\u201cI am the God of your father Abraham;\u00a0Do not fear, for I am with you.\u00a0I will bless you, and multiply your descendants,\u00a0For the sake of My servant Abraham.\u201d\u00a0So he built\u00a0an altar there and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there; and there Isaac\u2019s servants dug a well.\u00a0 (Genesis 26:2-5, 23-25, NASB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God appeared to Isaac twice in Chapter 26 of Genesis, with much the same message:\u00a0 &#8220;I will bless you, and multiply your descendants, For the sake of My servant Abraham.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why was God so gracious to Isaac?&nbsp; &#8220;Because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws.&#8221;&nbsp; God didn&#8217;t show favor to Isaac because of anything HE did, but it was because of what his father Abraham did.&nbsp; God reiterated the Abrahamic Covenant upon Isaac because his father Abraham was righteous in God&#8217;s eyes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/S_kwJ393axQqcmPcFokn1WrMDMlAlcCP_qbdbNlcQ1Mr5cbmNwdQT-8H9CTxXQp0stAgR0-40iSI2tta8ryTscNyv-QVr2kE4PSgF5D1urt3zIkFh5H2RI0eHVXKdNrZVyn8vWRktSgZ5Ff6Wh0oUieijwCWa-nsImxRsPSw0DHhLpIgJBKelhBg1hhM_dpRRkFmAxvOf7POfLF31xcJoU8tLv4=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/www.newcovenantgj.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/genesis-26-fear-not-for-i-am-with-you-1080x646-1.jpg?resolution=1368,1.7999999523162842\" alt=\"genesis-26-fear-not-for-i-am-with-you-1080x646\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Genesis 26:24 image.\u00a0 Found at New Covenant Baptist Church,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newcovenantgj.org\/gods-presence-with-isaac\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.newcovenantgj.org\/gods-presence-with-isaac\/<\/a>.\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Reading this reminded me of myself.\u00a0 You see, God has shown me favor in my own life.\u00a0 It&#8217;s not because of anything I&#8217;VE done, but because of what Jesus did.\u00a0 Jesus, God&#8217;s Son, came to this earth as God&#8217;s plan of salvation.\u00a0 He died as a substitute for me, to take the punishment I deserve for my sins.\u00a0 Nothing I could ever do would be acceptable to God to make up for my sins, EXCEPT&#8211;to place my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.\u00a0 Jesus is my Hope for this life and the next!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How Deep The Father&#039;s Love For Us\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oba_KXkf9qY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Worship:\u00a0 &#8220;How Deep the Father&#8217;s Love for Us,&#8221; by\u00a0Phillips, Craig &amp; Dean<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The LORD\u00a0appeared to [Isaac] and said, \u201cDo not go down to Egypt; stay in the land of which I shall tell you.
