{"id":857,"date":"2023-03-21T00:52:51","date_gmt":"2023-03-21T00:52:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deadmannotwalking.org\/?p=857"},"modified":"2023-03-21T00:52:57","modified_gmt":"2023-03-21T00:52:57","slug":"reconciled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deadmannotwalking.org\/?p=857","title":{"rendered":"Reconciled"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.\u00a0For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.\u00a0But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.\u00a0Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath\u00a0of God\u00a0through Him.\u00a0For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we\u00a0shall be saved by His life.\u00a0And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation . . . as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.\u00a0 (Romans 5:6-11, 21, NASB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you know that we were once enemies with God?\u00a0 That&#8217;s what the Apostle Paul says in this passage from his letter to the Roman church.\u00a0 But the blood of Jesus can make friends out of us who were once His enemies.\u00a0 You&#8217;re ether a friend of God or you&#8217;re His enemy.\u00a0 I sure don&#8217;t want to be on God&#8217;s bad side!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul says, &#8220;while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.&#8221;&nbsp; God&#8217;s timing is perfect.&nbsp; He gave us the Law of Moses to show us how lost we are, how no one could meet God&#8217;s standard of holiness.&nbsp; We were helpless in our sins.&nbsp; There was nothing we could do to be reconciled with God.&nbsp; But Paul says that Jesus died for the ungodly, and that&#8217;s us before we acknowledge our sins, and ask Him to be the Lord of our lives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/w1uTcnyCNs35id_fSG29aR7TD5Qlfx42_I3CZALqVPZxmvjGIeHBeCjW1QhBVWPnJJ_uPX6kz0mjlEXLLU_Sx5MiD_Ij1LqZdo1DWhctfgUvLh6VGtDRWMCcsUYc=s0-d-e1-ft#http:\/\/iliveforjesus.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/god-love-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
